A Circle of Mothers…

The woman’s journey to motherhood is a warrior’s journey. This leap into the unknown calls for great courage, surrender and faith. In this time of inner and outer  transformation and change, women naturally seek the company of other women, especially other mothers-to-be. No two women’s paths are exactly alike,  yet a deep and unseen bond is felt as pregnant women connect with each other… a knowing and understanding of the same sacred surrender taking place. This sisterly support  reaches back through generations of time… through grandmothers, great grandmothers and future granddaughters. It is a link to the women who over centuries shared the precious joy of new life as well as the painful sorrow of loss…the Mother warrior’s many sacrifices and triumphs. This is the link to the heart of the Universal Mother- She who sustains and nourishes us all in her cycles of life, death and rebirth… and is found in every pregnant woman, every mother (and every woman)… and is felt beating most strongly when these women join in community.
